About the Author

This article is about how to make a makeup bag.

You will need:
-a piece of fabric measuring about 18" by 12"
-a zipper that is at least 18" long
-sewing supplies

1. Cut the fabric to size. If you are using a pattern, cut out two pieces of fabric that are 18" by 12". If you are not using a pattern, fold the fabric in half so that it is 18" by 12". Cut along the fold.

2. Sew the long edges of the fabric together, using a 1/4" seam allowance.

3. Sew the zipper onto one of the short edges of the fabric, using a 1/4" seam allowance.

4. Turn the fabric right side out.

5. Insert the zipper into the other short edge of the fabric.

6. Sew the fabric together, using a 1/4" seam allowance.
